SCADA Consulting, Programming, and Simulation

Scenarios

Scenario Files are CSV files defining the dsiSimulator view of the world. An example would be PLC's and their associated points for a pipeline or a manufacturing facility.

The scenarios can be used without a script file for simple testing. The analog values can be changed with a Sine wave, Step or Wave pattern.

Scripts

Script files implement the operational cause-and-effect of a scenario. Script programmers define various scenario events for operator testing and training, or testing proof-of-concept SCADA designs. Scripts have full access to all points defined in a Scenario File. This information, combined with a few programming controls and loops, creates a wide range of possibilities. It depends entirely upon the scripts as to how simple or complicated the simulation becomes.

Data Concentrator

Data Concentrator Mode enables dsiSimulator to be used as a data concentrator allowing SCADA to "poll" information from a variety of non-pollable sources. In this mode, dsiSimulator reads values from a CSV file and allows that data to be polled by the SCADA system.
